How We Can Help

WILLS + TRUSTS
We work with families to design a personalized plan for the management of assets in the event of incapacity and distribution of assets upon death.
DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY + HEALTH CARE POWER OF ATTORNEY
The financial power of attorney and health care directive are critical documents that every adult needs. These documents enable the principal to nominate an agent to handle their financial and property obligations as well as make health care decisions should the principal be unable to do so.
PROBATE & ESTATE ADMINISTRATION
We are available to help families navigate the probate process when a loved one dies and the estate needs to be probated or when a loved one becomes incapacitated and a guardian and/or conservator needs to be appointed.
VA + MEDICAID PLANNING
We work with families to utilize Veteran (available to "wartime veterans" or surviving spouses) and/or Medicaid benefits to protect clients from sacrificing their life savings to pay for long term care, including in-home care, assisted living, adult day care, and nursing home care.
SPECIAL NEEDS PLANNING
Leaving behind assets to a disabled individual should be accomplished using trust planning. The principal objectives of the special needs trust includes preserving eligibility for means-tested government benefits and allowing for the effective management of the beneficiary's assets.
GUARDIANSHIP + CONSERVATORSHIP
Seeking court appointment of a guardian and/or conservator is necessary in cases where an incapacitated individual does not have a valid power of attorney or when a minor child inherits assets from an estate.
ASSET PROTECTION PLANNING
The cost of long term care is tremendous. We use asset protection trust planning as a strategy to plan for extended long term care, all the while protecting vulnerable assets like the residence, land, and savings.
BUSINESS LAW
We are eager to serve small business owners with their legal needs as they relate to estate planning. We advise and assist with entity formation in Georgia and South Carolina, as well as business succession planning.
